Images from an on-going collaboration with my friend Tony Conigliaro’s Drink Factory, photographing new cocktails in a way which reflects their individual attributes be it flavour, ingredients, concept or history.
A series of photographs commissioned by the Drink Factory for it’s first magazine, ‘Gothic’. Researching gothic film, literature, fashion and the movement’s darker sexual roots, the magazine showcases these findings in the form of bespoke drinks imagined in unique environments. These images represent bespoke, long forgotten and even illegal cocktails including the ‘Kubla Khan’, purportedly invented by Aleister Crowley.
For the opening of it’s fourth London establishment, Untitled I created ephemera, decoration and also produced a series of 4 short ‘teaser’ films reflecting the inspirations behind the bar, it’s drinks and design.
Photographs that graced the cover and an article on my friend Tony Conigliaro and our upcoming project, the Untitled bar. Featured in the 3 December 2016 edition of the Financial Times’ ‘How To Spend It’ magazine.
